About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Expenia (expenia.com.au) and all associated services ("Service") operated by Expenia ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms were last updated in June 2026.

Your Account

• To access paid features, you must register for an account using accurate information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at expenia.com.au/contact if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

Subscription Plans and Pricing

Expenia offers a Free plan and a Professional plan. The Professional plan is billed at A$20 per month (monthly billing) or A$200 per year (annual billing, equivalent to approximately two months free). All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice.

30-Day Free Trial

New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial of Professional features. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the 30-day period, your account automatically reverts to the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe to the Professional plan. The free trial is available once per person and is not transferable.

Payment and Billing

• Professional subscriptions are billed in advance, either monthly or annually based on your selection at the time of purchase.
• Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. You authorise us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal date.
• If a payment fails, we will notify you and may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.
• All transactions are subject to our payment provider's terms and conditions.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access to the Professional plan until that date. We generally do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time in a billing period, except where required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If you believe you are entitled to a refund under applicable law, please contact us.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights or guarantees you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), or any other applicable legislation. Where consumer guarantees apply, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law, which may include resupply of the service or a refund of the amount paid.

Acceptable Use

• You must use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
• You must not upload, transmit, or store any content that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system or interfere with its operation.
• You must not use the Service to scrape, copy, or redistribute data without our written consent.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these requirements.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload, input, or generate within the Service. We will not sell your data to third parties. We may use aggregated, de-identified data for product improvement and analytics purposes. Upon account closure, we will retain your data for a reasonable period before securely deleting it, unless earlier deletion is requested. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.

Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, brand elements, and content associated with Expenia are the intellectual property of Expenia or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. This limitation does not apply to the extent prohibited by the ACL or other applicable law.

Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide the Service with reasonable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, and will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of material changes. Scheduled maintenance may affect availability from time to time.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms, without prejudice to any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
